On Saturday, 7th of October 2023, a deadly earthquake of 6.3 magnitude was recorded 35 km in the city of Herat in Afghanistan. Over 2000 people have lost their lives and villagers continue digging for survivors. Sadly, concerns over Taliban restrictions on women are causing donors to pull back on financial support.

My name is Khadijah and although I left Afghanistan at a young age, I still feel connected to my homeland. As an Afghan psychotherapist and a mother of two young children, I find it difficult to ignore this incident without playing my part. Hence, to find peace within myself self and feel connected to those in need within my community I have decided to host this fundraising.

With your funding support, my goal is to provide the survivors with items, such as clothing, food, drinks and blankets. The total money will be sent to a trustworthy person in Afghanistan who will assist and support me further with this. Every small amount you invest in this will make a difference and is appreciated.

Life can be difficult sometimes, but remembering we’re all in this together can help us feel more connected to those who are in need.

Thank you for your donation!
