Rabia Underwent an Open Cholecystectomy

Rabia Asim ‘s Story

Rabia Asim, a 33-year-old resident of Lahore, had been enduring recurring episodes of abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, and vomiting for a period of two years. Initially, she received symptomatic treatment to alleviate her discomfort, but her symptoms progressively worsened over time. Determined to find a solution, Rabia decided to seek further medical attention.

She went to see a general surgeon, who recommended diagnostic tests and an ultrasound because of the severity of her condition. The results of these tests confirmed the presence of gallstones, shedding light on the cause of Rabia’s persistent symptoms. The doctor advised her to undergo an open cholecystectomy, a surgical procedure involving the removal of the gallbladder. She was unable to pay for the surgery because of her limited resources. She asked Transparent Hands for financial assistance.

She was admitted to the Lahore Care Hospital, where her operation was performed by Dr. Ahmed Fawad on 18-04-2023. Following her surgery, Rabia experienced a remarkably swift recovery. She was discharged after only one day due to the attentive care provided by the hospital staff. With her symptoms resolved, Rabia can now look forward to a life free from the debilitating effects of gallstones.

Rabia expresses her deepest gratitude to the entire staff of the hospital for their exceptional expertise, compassion, and dedication. Their combined efforts played a vital role in her successful surgery and swift recovery. She is also immensely grateful to the generous donors who selflessly contributed towards her surgery, acknowledging that their financial support made her treatment possible.  She is forever thankful for the generosity of those who extended their helping hands, enabling her to regain her health and embrace a brighter future.  Rabia’s story is one of triumph over adversity, and she serves as an inspiration to others facing similar health challenges. Donate online to us to help more women like Rabia.
