  • Once a donation is made to the Fund and deposited via Transparent Hands’ chosen bank, it is considered an irreversible gift and cannot be retrieved by the donor.
  • The donor will be informed of the amount it has paid for a specific patient or condition by text message or electronic mail.
  • Donors will be notified of any necessary adjustments to their donations, and if a patient dies during a fundraising campaign, the whole amount donated will be transferred to the Transparent Soul emergency fund.
  • Transparent Soul takes 7% of all donations for their overhead costs.
  • We expect that Transparent Soul will use the emergency funds we have raised for them to treat either urgent situations or patients who have already had surgery but need further funding due to complications. Given the potential for a wide range of complications during surgical treatment, we believe that cost should never stand in the way of providing quality care to a deserving patient. So, the unexpected money will be available to finish the procedure until the patient is totally healed.
  • We only provide a ballpark figure for the cost of surgery. Depending on how the patient is doing throughout the procedure, the final cost might be different.
  • Hospitals that provide discounts contribute to the Transparent Soul emergency fund, which is then used to provide free surgery and medical care to those in need.
  • If the hospital cost is lower than expected or the patient is not treated for any other reason, Transparent Soul may utilize the donor’s Zakat gift for any other Zakat-qualified patient.
